This is a Mirage H4800 large retractable screen project we have recently completed. For this customer they wanted the versatility of having a screened in porch but not all the time. Having this option allowed the customer to still have the open patio area as well as turn into a screened in porch when they wanted.
With this patio area they already had existing railing as seen in the before picture. The customer wanted to keep the railing so when they retracted the screen they still had the railing there. As you see in the after pictures we were able to still have the existing railing just changed the post cap on top in order for the post caps to not interfere with the screens retracting. So it gave the customer exactly what they envisioned for their porch area.
