Project in Waxhaw, NC
Craft-Bilt 3″ wide aluminum wall system with Single-Pane Glass Sliders
- Customer: Kevin & Trish
- Project Type: Screen Porch to Glass Porch Conversion
About this Project
After extensive research into various porch enclosure possibilities, Kevin delved into options like stacking windows and plexiglass, but none proved suitable for his needs. During the initial in-home meeting, Jerry presented several alternatives to Kevin and Trish. Considering the pros and cons, Kevin favored glass sliding windows, a choice supported by Trish, who emphasized their desire for ample natural light.
After careful consideration, they scheduled a visit to inspect a previous customer’s porch featuring the desired windows. Following additional contemplation, Kevin and Trish settled on the single-pane slider windows. The final solution encompassed:
- Removal of existing screens and necessary buildout adjustments
- Installation of an aluminum 3″ wall system with tempered glass kneewall, slider windows, and transoms
- Installation of a tempered glass door and fixed-lite window
