Job Overview

This position requires confident and competent individual who will be installing sunrooms, decks, and enclosures. While doing so, it is the responsibility of this individual to make sure the customer gets utmost quality of service.

Responsibilities

  • Installation of sunrooms / screen-rooms
  • Maintenance of company tools
  • Final Measures
  • Ensure all decks and patio rooms are built plumb, square, and comply with our engineering specifications as well as regulatory code requirements
  • Review contract folder and all instructions/drawings before leaving on assignments to clarify work to be completed
  • Responsible for the installation of the job and the direction of the helper to ensure a quality job is completed in a safe and timely manner
  • Interact with customers in a professional manner, while maintaining the integrity of Valverax’s reputation
  • Ensure vehicle being driven is fully equipped with all necessary parts, products, tools, and resources necessary to complete assigned projects
  • Coordinate the procurement of necessary materials
  • Assist with the unloading of delivery trucks
  • Assist Installation Manager in contributing to meeting company standards and achieving departmental goals

Qualifications

  • 2-year experience working for a general contractor or construction company
  • Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record with the ability to regularly operate and manage the maintenance of a fleet vehicle
  • 3-5 years prior experience in construction and skilled labor involving carpentry, sunroom/screen-room, and deck installation
  • High School diploma or GED required, associate’s degree or trade school experience in construction or related field preferred
  • Experience in the use of a brake, and other hand tools such as a utility knife, hammer, deglazing tools, etc.
  • Basic arithmetic abilities including using a tape measure, converting metrics to fractions, calculations percentages and angles
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Certified in lead standard
  • Must be able to work with little supervision
  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • Must be able to work well with others
  • Must be drug free and able to pass a drug test
  • Must have a great positive attitude and want to work
